A Pilot Rescues A Cute Baby Chimp

Mussa is an incredibly lucky ape, who has known inhuman amounts of hardship in his few years on earth. A mere toddler, Mussa was captured by poachers. Since chimp mothers are extremely protective of their young, Mussa was most likely pried from his mother’s dead hands. Adult chimps are hunted for food, while infants are sold to zoos, circuses or for use as exotic pets. Luckily, conservationists were able to locate and rescue him, and move him to the Lwiro Center for Primate Rehabilitation, where other rescued apes are making a physical recovery and learning the crucial skills they need in order to survive and thrive in the wild.
