English Is A Crazy Language

We’ve all heard about the idea of English becoming a “universal language.” Some say that it should be used worldwide, and others say that it shouldn’t. While tempers flare on either side, there’s one point that can’t be argued: English is ridiculously hard to learn.

To native English speakers, this seems silly. But think about all of those people out there who are trying to learn English as we speak. Have you ever considered how hard that would be? Compared to Romance languages, for example, Germanic languages like English bend every single rule in the book. Don’t believe me? Well, maybe you’ll believe this guy. He makes a compelling case.

As frustrating as learning English can be, it’s pretty astounding that people can speak it at all. I bet you’ll never approach our language the same way again after watching this video a few times.
